My journey with God and the journey shared with countless others through scripture engagement under IFES and ZAFES has been nothing short of transformative. Engaging with God’s Word both personally and in community settings has reshaped my life and enriched our campus and local church ministries in profound ways. Through this dynamic engagement, we have come to embrace three enduring truths:
- A Mind Informed by God’s WORD:
Immersing ourselves in Scripture opens our minds to divine wisdom, equipping us to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and conviction. This renewed perspective guides us to think critically, discern truth, and apply God’s principles in every aspect of our lives. - A Heart Transformed by His LOVE:
Experiencing God’s unconditional love deeply transforms our hearts. It softens us to extend empathy, compassion, and care to those around us. This heartfelt transformation propels us to build genuine relationships and foster community in our campus and church environments. - A Behavior Shaped by His GRACE:
The grace of God not only forgives but also empowers us to live out our faith authentically. As we are continually renewed by His grace, our actions reflect a commitment to integrity, kindness, and service, demonstrating the tangible impact of God’s work in our lives.

These changes aren’t self-generated; they are the wonderful work of God’s grace through Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Whether we engage with Scripture in personal reflection or gather in groups for collective study, we are participating in a journey of loving, studying, living, and sharing God’s Word. Jesus Christ remains the ultimate source of overflowing grace and truth (John 1:14), and it is through Him that our lives are continually renewed.
In essence, Scripture Engagement is the heartbeat of our campus outreach—fueling our spiritual growth and equipping us to impact the world around us. Together, as we immerse ourselves in the truth and beauty of God’s Word, we are empowered to transform lives, one encounter at a time.
